There has been a lot of talk recently of the acquisition of Saba by Cornerstone. Question: I am a current Saba Cloud customer, will I have to switch over to Cornerstone? If you are an existing customer of Saba Cloud, including folks who are using the on-premise version, you can stay on the system(s). A nswer: No. A nswer: YES.

However, the product person who first saw the value of a TOC was correct – although that has gone by the wayside. On the other hand, the purchase of a couple of vendors for the sake of buying for the people running or being actively involved with the product was not a good idea. Why not just hire those folks away?

LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Saba does a good job as well. These standout to me. Categories. Big Dog LMS.

20 Saba Learning Suite. With its m-learning capability including on/off synch and rather solid UI, the product continues to be an effective solution. While the pricing is outrageous and the Saba as a whole seems better suited as a HCM, their learning suite is a better alternative than those who want Cornerstone OnDemand.

Other well-known independent players like Cornerstone , Saba and Workday opted to compete by building their own talent suites. Costly, labor-intensive upgrades and maintenance fees. With that kind of captive customer, why would a talent management LMS vendor even bother to improve its product? Want more LMS insights? Augment It!

They were expensive to purchase, implement, maintain, host, upgrade and replace. The cloud enables new LMS vendors to create and support one product that all customers use providing economies of scale in research, customer support and required investment capital. Saba Software. For folks who think I ignore the big dog vendors, sorry to disappoint, but Saba, SumTotal Learn and Cornerstone Learning Suite are in the Top 50. So, hence the five.
