That said, I wish they would offer the option of a true tree option, rather than the standard “slide” icon layout. Transitions, Animations, Views – I am fine using it once, but again, new product-new version, so why I am still seeing PowerPoint within this product to such a point, that TAV are exactly the same as in PPT?

Clearly online learning in elementary and secondary schools were well on their way by the early 2000’s, which puts a big dent into the whole “new experience of learning online” argument. . As micro-learning gains more attention and more people are starting to utilize the methods in creating such courses, vendors who are aware of this new opportunity are making sure that people know that their system supports micro-learning. This is a growing market with new vendors showing up, but at the same time, others disappearing. If a RCAT vendor tells you they have been in business for over 10 years, they are somewhat misleading, since WBT courses really didn’t start to hit the mark until 2000 and then you have limited choices on how to build.

The basic structure of one-way presentations, flying to convention cities, blowing an entire week at a time, and vendors going through the motions but getting few sales is counter to the culture and M.O.
