Today I was involved in teaching a session for a BA group on the use of digital photography and communication. I used images from a trip with my students to the Gambia in 2009 to present my own example of a narrative at the beginning of the session. I showed her the image on my digital camera, and she was shocked but delighted.

There were two rooms, each connected to the other via a microphone, camera and television. I had no qualifications but had an interest in photography and graphic design and there were elements of these in the job. We also had a 'mobile' video camera and separate VCR - it was very heavy, and the recording limit was about 30 minutes.

In, I think it was 2009 ish, I was basically 35, 40 pounds overweight. Kevin Geary: Because they don’t have experience, like I don’t want to get on camera, I don’t want to be on YouTube, I don’t want my voice to be out there, I don’t want to be on a podcast. You’re talking direct to camera.
