By now content curation is a well-known activity that is credited for saving time in the search, retrieval and distribution of bulk knowledge/information. The aggregate of “time saved” rapidly dilutes as a function of what happens after the distributions are sent/posted and received by knowledge workers.

It puts forward lots of suggestions for how knowledge workers can leverage technology to make themselves more effective. I actually think this is some of the most valuable stuff on my blog, and I believe that most knowledge workers are not really taking advantage of this at the level they should.

Ten Predictions for eLearning 2008

This will allow more natural kinds of interactions in classroom settings, especially for things like breakout activities. Unfortunately, these will be even worse than Sharepoint, the solution you already hate. Interestingly, they both were originally considered rapid authoring tools but now are becoming THE authoring tools.
