As designers and teachers, we need to be careful to incorporate variety in the way we present things to touch the ways people who learn things differently from the way we do need to grasp things. Hopefully some of those detail oriented 17 bullets per PPT slide will get that some of us dont CARE about or need all that detail that they crave.

I’m doing a session for the local ASTD. And they don’t show up when you publish with the rapid elearning tools. Just something to keep in mind when building rapid elearning courses. Once the file is unzipped, all of the images are available to you in the ppt/media folder. Use comments on the slide.

In my Ten Predictions for eLearning 2008 , my last prediction was: Prediction #10 => Knowledge Worker Skills - Just Beginning in 2008, Big in 2009 The discussion of knowledge work skills is going to be BIG. The fact that this is one of the general sessions at ASTD TechKnowledge is interesting way to start 2009.

Last year, the chatter was all about Rapid eLearning, the rise of the SME and the fall of the ID. If thats the model corporate learning has moved to, where does the ID fit in? I was glad for my education background, because I managed to make the best of the source (a PPT file). The eLearning Salary Gender Gap Phew!

Ive done some wireframes in PPT, but I keep coming back to Word.
