Albert Bandura wrote a book called Social Learning Theory in 1977, and he didn’t even have a Facebook account. For example, the discussion in which the classes discusses what they expect to learn in the class. Have that discussion on Yammer or Socialtext or other similar, free software that allows people to talk to each other.

Although I often use the Twitter client for Android too, at times I want to tweet from one of my other accounts (for example, @ newsociallearn ) and this tool makes the process easy. In addition to Twitter, I also use Socialtext Signals , Socialcast , and Yammer with different organizations I work with. I learn from it every day!
