Providing short and highly-engaging modules that emphasize key information are proving to be far more effective designs (see our blog on ~link~ Ebbinghaus’s Forgetting Curve). In other words, the status quo is no longer acceptable, eLearning is and should be held accountable to the quality of education it provides.

The system that provides this infrastructure is generically called a Learning Management System (LMS) and is a software program or web application that you will either develop or purchase. The key to allowing these two components to be separate is providing a framework for them to work and communicate with each other.
