I also heavily use Wikis, especially when the desired result is a set of web pages. I recommend pbWiki as an easy to use Wiki solution. Asynchronous Discussion I personally have found that Ning works great as a tool for all sorts of different needs.

In many cases, this makes our final delivery pattern much more complex, but it greatly reduces the time required upfront by learners and allows us to get them information much more just-in-time and with more appropriate costs. Yes, you can think of Blogs, Wikis, etc. Maybe we are providing a Wiki and conducting a barn raising session?

There were about 7 examples mentioned including Intuit using a Wiki-like system for customers to ask questions/get advice around taxes, using a group blog with students prior to a formal learning event, the US Army's use of collaboration tools to share best practices in Iraq, and several others. 20,000 wikis with more than 100,000 users.

I just finished reading Harold Jarche’s post: Seek, Sense, Share In the post, he talks about how seeking information, then applying our personal sense-making filters to it, and finally sharing it helps us to see the interconnections, patterns and the larger whole. There are also Ning and Wikis but I have not started using these very actively.
