Today BlackBoard announced plans to merge with WebCT; the two leading providers in the higher education eLearning space (BlackBoard alone forecasts US$150M+ for their fiscal year). It also doesn't bode well for WebCT's willingness to play with open source (sorry Harold!)

When I was at Utah State, two others and I designed and developed Syllabase, an online course management system much like BlackBoard or WebCT (at the time). I love using audio to narrate software demos and complicated graphics or animation. I think weve all been through this, havent we? But reading a page of text?
