It’s not a typical word that comes up when you decide to purchase whatever type of learning system, whether it is an LMS, LXP, Learning Platform, Talent Development Platform, Employee Dev Platform (a tiny market, but it exists), or whatever a vendor spins their learning system as. Send to the vendors. Yet it is there.

What about PENS or some other compliance standard? Unless you must have PENS or one of the other compliance standards, it is not needed. PENS was created by AICC as an alternative to SCORM 2004, 3rd edition. . Rather, “partner&# is a dual revenue steam for the vendor and their partner – a business relationship deal.

Ok, with that being done, let me list the vendors who are in the final ten and then break it all down for you. From sims to scenarios to courses of all types, to collaboration, nice set of resources – this product is not for beginners. Joking aside, I like the product. Every vendor here scored a minimum of a B.

In 2012 it has been all about collaborative/peer review with authoring products, and it still will be in 2013, but the avatars/actors with/without backgrounds are going to be in “fuego” Where can it go? One vendor already offers it in 2012, and knowing this industry – if something takes off and works, others will follow.

Yes there are vendors doing some new stuff, okay many, but a few items are not new, rather they have been around for a long time. SaaS boost – Finally more vendors are on the appropriate path for their consumers; but the big folks are not – why? There I said it and honestly I can’t believe I said it.
