Unison ranked earlier, ProForm – hopefully shelved at some point and mLearning studio. While traditionally best of the best are announced in December, I decided why wait. I mean it is not like something is going to change in just a few weeks for any such product. Before I get to the list, people always want to know how do I decide what constitutes the best of the best. Here are my criteria.

Upload your course to your REVIEW™ account, then anyone on your team can login from any location and leave feedback on any Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, or ProForm course. It’s always a challenge to send a course out for review and determine the best way to capture and consolidate all of the comments. There are many online browser-based authoring tools that make the review process easy and seamless. However for desktop installed tools it can still be a challenge.

REVIEW by Rapid Intake has the advantage of letting you upload Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, Flash, and ProForm content, whereas Lectora’s reviewer only works with Lectora content and Captivate only works with Captivate content. Lectora version X.6

April's Big Question from Learning Circuits is "How to Keep up?" This is in reference the immense and rapidly expanding technology tools. It is tough to stay on top of all the emerging tools. However, being involved in an e-learning community is a big help. For me it is a blog community and following many experts on Twitter. Not only am I often made aware of new tools, but also get opinions, tips, and examples of their use.
