Knowledge reinforcement tools. I’m not a lot of on/off synch app here as part of the tool, which is a shame. And if you have an LMS, better add the tool. . Skill pre-assessments are gaining traction, with the preference being the assessment tool in the LMS, and not in an authoring tool per se.

What’s perhaps most galling is that the curators of SCORM are all too aware of this failing and created SCORM’s successor, Tin Can API, back in 2010. Tin Can subsequently evolved into xAPI which came out in 2013 and offers many more features than SCORM. Ultimately, the separation between isolated authoring and delivery is negated.
