This will increase the discussion of the relevance of ISD / ADDIE (see also ADDIE Not Relevant?). June 1, 2008 was when Work Literacy Launched. And while Harbinger has provided some interesting tools that are essentially mash-ups for authoring, not sure I've seen much adoption. Short, fast and to the point will be the standard.

Years ago the conversation was all about ADDIE which is a programming process. TK: I scan a lot of feeds in my reader so I don’t really visit a bunch of sites, per se. I follow blogs in our industry, design sites, and stuff like that. I tend to see it in a different way. Today, the software is relatively easy to use.

If that is the case, they why not write on a piece of paper, scan it in and sell that as your text course? Outdated and seriously who is using this? Please, please tell me. .

If you scan the Table of Contents you may say, “I never heard of her or him.” JA : What I appreciate is the ability to scan the table of contents, read a chapter, and then order the authors book for more in-depth information. Is SAM really better than ADDIE? And a recent topic for the profession is learning analytics.

You have to open it, watch through it, and you can’t scan for what you need. Performance support on the other hand is focused, easy to scan, and helps you do a single task quicker than any other type of training. Evaluate This is kind of like a miny ADDIE process but with more rapid steps.
