SCORM 2004, AICC what does it all mean? I’ll exclude the technical components or specifics on SCORM and AICC – plenty of info. It is a standard – compliance. SCORM and AICC. AICC was the only standard that offered a certification process for vendors and it was based on tasks/components testing.

Created by a 3rd party provider – a Skillsoft or Wiley for example. Web cam presentation – either live or recorded. The vendor – Skillsoft. Biz Library courses are available only as AICC. SCORM and AICC. Personally, I think AICC should be punted over the goal post of so long compliance standards.

Maybe you purchased it via Open Sesame, or Skillsoft. Skillsoft – The behemoth of the courses/content space. A key factor is that Skillsoft has acquired many course providers in the past and with that have good and bad mixed together. Skillsoft I find is very flexible in this regard (as a whole). Course rating: B.

Course standards are course standards, and yes, you have the option to select CMI-5 and xAPI. What I am finding is that AICC is nearly gone in the LEP space (as it is with LMSs too), so if I was you, I’d seek SCORM, SCORM 1.2, The first three are standards that every LEP should have (so say YES on the template).

I have seem people buy a learning system that lacks any course standards and then, to no surprise, the system that doesn’t have any course standards, can’t accept your courses that are already wrapped in a course standard. only, and all your stuff is in AICC. Ditto when you buy a system that is SCORM 1.2
