This is a great choice for corporate environments in which you need to quickly roll out training that is effective, interactive, and allows you to monitor the progress of your workers. This platform gives learners a lot of agency in their education, as they can construct their own personal learning environment (PLE).

I'm hoping to address questions such as: How do you create a personal tool set or Personal Learning Environment (PLE) for yourself? Tools to Make Reading & Research More Effective. The same tool and method can be highly effective for one person and not effective for others. We are all too busy. So, here goes.

In his post, he really is looking primarily at the University of Manitoba's Connectivism Course that he designed and delivered with George Siemens to 2200 students in Fall 2008 and you can tell that he's busy thinking about the technology behind the Fall 2009 course.

I was reading the book 'Tribes' by Seth Godin recently, and although it's rather simplistic in its use of language and doesn't tax the mind much (it's written for corporate types after all), I never the less enjoyed reading it through to find out what his take was on leadership and business. PLE will triumph over VLE.

This ensures that every student is engaged in the lecture, and the results of post-lecture comprehension questions provide the instructor with an understanding the effectiveness of the lecture for each student. At the end, they are given comprehension questions that measure what they understood.
