When I attended school I was required to attend classes in mathematics, English language and literature, science (physics, biology, chemistry), history, geography, music, art, Religious Education, craft and design, home economics, German and French - all just in case I might need them later in life.

We should also embrace the role of subject matter experts (SMEs), knowledge bases, coaching/mentoring, and the collaborative benefits of social media. Another perfect example might require visiting a knowledge base and compete in a scavenger hunt for valuable prizes awarded in a future Deploy event.

You think of improving skills and increasing knowledge. They think of classes, teachers, and school. It’s based on the assumption that an elite can figure out what workers need to know, package it as explicit data, and serve it up in a database. His words were dirty; mine are bad for business.
