Google Docs is where I keep track of my time spent on projects, create quick drafts, and other tasks. Jing is the best free tool for screenshots I’ve ever used. This is the fifth year that Jane Hart has been collecting lists of top tools for learning. The list will be finalized on November 13, but you can see the ongoing results in this list. I have contributed my lists in 2007 , 2008 , and 2009. You can contribute your top tools too.

I have been a Camtasia fan for a long time, as well as a SnagIt and Jing fan and I’m also very impressed with the work TechSmith is doing on Mobile. Also, for these examples, I chose not to enable Quiz tracking, but Camtasia 8 does provide email and SCORM support for tracking.

Before using Camtasia, we recorded with Jing, which had a five minute time limit per video. Splitting the clip onto a second track and adding a fade transition smoothed out the viewing experience. We're turning the corner to the second week of the Camtasia Small Business Test Drive !

Smashing Magazine offers this look at " Data Visualization: Modern Approaches " I saw this post about Jing on Beth Kanters blog , Stephen also found Jing and tries it out a bit, looks like a very slick/easy way to capture and share screen grabs etc. Jing really rocks. One thing that I am looking for is something like mindmap that I could use to plot different technologies, conferences, etc that I am tracking and then allow people to view that over the web.
