I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. After viewing the Plateau TMS, my concerns in one area have been eliminated, in others, not so much. Plateau LMS is a Talent Management System, made up of four modules. Plateau Learning. Plateau Performance.

Here’s a quick list of things to think about as you consider ways to gamify or incorporate full-fledged games: Use a portal: A portal is a web-based access point that shows leaderboards, achievements, levels, etc. Plateau of Productivity – the technology finds its place and becomes mainstream.

MyCareer at VA – just rolled out this portal. Use Plateau SaaS model as the TMS. For the VA – it’s been time critical to launch the portal – if it’s not integrated into the fabric of the VA it could go away with the next political appointment. When do bring in sr. employees can see and chart their path for development.

I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Emerging Technology LMS/Learning Portal Vendor of the Year. Your competitors are not always the Big Dogs – Learn.com, Saba, Plateau, etc. These standout to me. Categories. Razor thin?

Features include: Extended enterprise – multiple children/sub-portals, each skinned/branded and each on a separate server – many EEs are on a shared server. Unlimited portals. Back in the days, the Plateau platform was ghastly awful. Extended Enterprise option – including portals.

Initially, the conversation was about having learning content appear on the enterprise portal. Many LMS vendors provide portlets, gadgets or widgets that allow for access of learning content (most often meaning courses and courseware) through the corporate portal. The interface is not really even the enterprise Portal.
