On Saturday, I published my report, the Top 50 LMSs of 2015 , which is available for purchase. Roadmap for 2015. Mobile Capabilities (Responsive, xAPI, on/off synch., Top 10 for 2015. Analytics is just okay, reporting is okay. I would love to see them create a more robust analytics, but that’s just me.

Mobile Friendly – It has taken a bit of time, but go anywhere and you will see “Responsive” and “HTML5″ xAPI – Another why wasn’t this done a year ago for many vendors? Analytics capability – You see it with some SaaS authoring tool vendors. 1 in 2014, will they be #1 in 2015?

The 2023 Workplace Learning Report by LinkedIn shows that “skills sets for jobs have changed by around 25% since 2015. Reporting & Analytics Corporate training is usually deployed on a large scale. The reporting feature is a bit limited, though it does offer predictive analytics. By 2027, this number is expected to double.”

Analytics and reporting. The real separation came in the form of the administration side – and analytics and reporting. I found that in LMSs (on avg), there were more analytics, more ways to break it down, slice and dice, than there were in the learning platform space (on avg.). My Top 50 for 2015. The Difference.

The offering is essentially Tin Can (xAPI), but also includes a Learning Record Store and a personal data locker (place to put your data record for security/privacy). 1 LMS for 2015 (surprise!) – gamification wrapped around strong feature set includes many of my next tier gamification feature sets including built-in badge library.

Then there are those who use the “traditional” and “non-traditional” tag as a reason for being listed. Analytics and Reporting (new category) – Big Data is coming, these are the top three that can make it happen. Latest insight and forecasts (in 2015, forecast success was over 94% accurate).
