Specifically: Ability to build games or some “game version” within the LMS – either via a built-in authoring tool or as a standalone feature.

#HRTECH Learning Vendors Preview – Who to see and who to avoid

There are few and I mean only a few who follow this pattern (example: Skillsoft), where the course library is the primary and the system secondary. If I was to compare the Big Dog Four – SuccessFactors, Saba, Cornerstone OnDemand and SumTotal by Skillsoft, Saba would win hands down. SumTotal by Skillsoft.

Am I an LMS? And if so.

Ability to upload a course or courses from a 3rd party course/content provider (example: Wiley, Skillsoft, etc.). SCORM 2004 3rd edition, SCORM 2004 4th edition, AICC, PENS, xAPI, CMI-5). Game based learning in the system and if yes, can I change my avatar or customize it with look ? As long as it has one of these.

Accepts any courses built in any content authoring tools that are SCORM & AICC compliant – so you can upload and sell your courses that you built in Articulate, Captivate, even open source authoring tools (but they must be standards compliant).
