One of these platforms is Percipio by Skillsoft. Percipio though can accept AICC, SCORM, xAPI and CMI-5 (win!). If you select “Video” content than the mini chapters you select from will start with an intro screen from Skillsoft, rather than jumping right into the content. Filtering was easy. Bottom Line.

Hmm, let’s see NetG (back in the day), Skillsoft, Playback Media (not the new one out there, but another one – may the rest in peace), a few other shops and Rosetta Stone (yes, that Rosetta Stone). The vendor – Skillsoft. SCORM and AICC.

SCORM: What you should be asking your LMS Vendor to be

SCORM 2004, AICC what does it all mean? I’ll exclude the technical components or specifics on SCORM and AICC – plenty of info. SCORM and AICC. AICC was the only standard that offered a certification process for vendors and it was based on tasks/components testing. Honestly, AICC is so early 2000’s.

Courseware LMSs – Good or bad for the industry?

Maybe you purchased it via Open Sesame, or Skillsoft. Skillsoft – The behemoth of the courses/content space. A key factor is that Skillsoft has acquired many course providers in the past and with that have good and bad mixed together. Skillsoft I find is very flexible in this regard (as a whole). Course rating: B.

There were LMS vendors certified by AICC, but the majority were not, and yes, some said they were, then you go to the AICC web site and see that they are not. It was truly the wild west back then.
