Articulate Tip – Lock the Browser Size

Have you ever published your Articulate course and the images and flash are fuzzy and look terrible? There is a setting within each Player Template in Articulate Presenter that allows your to either allow the course to expand/shrink as the user’s browser window changes size or to lock the content as the “optimal&# size.

So I turned my attention to the building my own player instead. Just about that time, I came across Dave Mozealous ’ blog titled “ How I created a custom Articulate Presenter skin in less than an hour. I’m a graphics guy so the literal term, “skin” to me is the exoskeleton or the outer graphical look and feel of the player.

Articulate isn’t part of the ‘rapid authoring tool’ family for nothing. Unlike Adobe Flash, output in Articulate interactions have Flash content, and launch in Flash player, but this Flash content is self contained, and ‘invisible’ to the user. You import audio’ in almost the same way as you would upload a file or image in PPT.

Get Creative and Build Better E-Learning Courses

Link each video image to one of the slides. When the learner clicks the video image, it will link to the slide with the actual video on it. Copy the images to the other slides. On each of the other slides (2-4), replace one of the images with its respective video. Create a master slide using the background template image.
