Wednesday, August 22, 2007 Half of Companies Blocking Facebook Christy Tucker has been musing on Social Networking as LMS: Problems and Opportunities. One real problem is corporate fear of social networking tools. Im no Facebook super-user and I havent experienced a huge time suck from it, but I suppose its possible.

Steven Groves in the comments writes: What the Gartner report went on to say that you left out was a recommendation to continue on in a SL effort anyway, albeit with eyes open and cautiously, keeping a lookout for all the problems they cited. Dont invest any money.

My current business card says Im a "Manager of Instructional Design". I wrote a monthly user-newsletter -- tips and tricks for maximizing the application. And now Im here -- "Manager of Instructional Design." But at this point, Im here to stay. My point is this: I dont think Im that unusual. And yet here I am.
