I’d like to leave the discussion around EPSS and software simulations to the experts in the eLearning industry. Except the playback controls, one cannot interact with the elements shown in the video.

As Captivate is mainly for creating eLearning type of things, the majority of the Captivate project contains heavy assets like Video, Audio, animation and what not. And the SAD part is that, developer rarely notice that till he finishes the project ( as he is Testing on the same machine where Captivate output is.)

Whenever a comparison of eLearning authoring tools is published, Captivate still is considered to be the best tool for creation of software tutorials. That has been indeed the primary goal when Captivate was released many years ago. Sorry for my cynical attitude, had many discussions with authors over that type of articles.
