Adobe recently released eLearning Suite 2 comprising of Captivate 5, Flash Professional CS5, Dreamweaver CS5, Photoshop CS5 Extended, Acrobat 9 Pro, Presenter 7 (available on Windows only), Soundbooth CS5, Bridge CS5, Device Central CS5 in it. Photoshop CS5 too is loaded with many new features.

It’s time for upgrades, and a Poll

Tools are constantly going through upgrade cycles, but these are two of the biggest names in the eLearning development tool market, so they caught my attention. The CS4 Web Premium bundle now includes: Dreamweaver CS4. Photoshop CS4 Extended. They’ve also changed the bundles - thank you Adobe. Illustrator CS4.

In an anonymous reply to my posting yesterday on the pirating of PC software, an elearning developer asked "How do real people actually afford/justify purchasing something like the Adobe eLearning Suite?" If you were a casual developer I'd say not. So, is Adobe's ELS worth $1799?
