Well, this year’s show had all the fun and excitement you can expect in the biggest training conference event of the year. to the expo vendors who forgot to bring any type of product example to the show – this event will go down in history! I like Gamelearn’s new training game dealing with negotiation.

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. Am I missing something?

SumTotal is calling their product a Human Capital Management system. Sure, they offer a separate LMS called SumTotal Maestro, but their TM has surprisingly (not really) been morphed into a HCM, will others follow? I must have been sleeping, but when did “learning” slide under Talent Management?

As a former training director I had enough problems with users buzzing me about whatever, but having the name of the vendor too would not be good. E-commerce fee per year. M-Learning – can view on tablets, including iPad. E-commerce and SSL included at no charge. Social learning. Saba: See SumTotal.

You ask the sales clerk if you can try to flavor. You probably have a better chance on who assassinated JFK (if you do not think it was Oswald) than getting some of these vendors to tell you up front. Worse, there are a large number of vendors whose “contact us&# or “inquire sales&# goes into a deep black hole. This is a global issue and is not limited to the size of the vendor. Fear Factor: Vendor Pricing. So why do it for the biggest purchase for your training budget? You shouldn’t.
