I've been working with Steve Wexler and the eLearningGuild on the eLearning 2.0 delicious, Picassa, Ning, Google Docs/Google Apps, Second Life, Blogger, iGoogle, orkut, FriendFeed, Internal workplace community, PBWiki, Xing, Digg, Friendster (really?), But we clearly missed an opportunity to ask about community tools like Ning.

I have been part of Ning groups before, but find it overwhelming, very quickly because there seems to be multiple inputs for information. Even as an organizer, when I get into the Ning group, I feel overwhelmed. I don't know about ning or even facebook. Social networks have a tendency to be a bit messy.

Maybe Brandon Hall or a Ning community will take off. Or maybe someone like ASTD will adopt Ning and give it a huge push. Or maybe the eLearningGuild. It takes a lot to get from putting up the network software to getting widespread adoption.
