The post / poll / discussion around having better conferences continues to grow. There are quite a few really good comments and the trackbacks from the post are really quite good. Great stuff.

It doesn't have any bells and whistles like web cam compatibility or video streaming, online polling, white boards or anything cool like that. I tend not to use a lot of the different features, but certainly like to having polling, recording, chat, screen sharing. We are considering moving to other products such as Adobe Connect.

Check out that post, the poll results and the discussion for lots of ideas on how to make conferences better. It seems like the eLearningGuild is doing a better job at this recently. Just read a great post by Clive Shepherd - Cutting the Pie - where he discusses what the appropriate balance is at conferences.

And, I need you to help by doing one or more of the following: provide a response to the poll below (won't show in an RSS feed - sorry) provide suggestions for what you'd like to see in future conferences (add comment). I like that the eLearningGuild at DevLearn has done a room full of demonstrations in the past. Some are really good.

As Peter posted ( The Learning Circuits Blog: Community Net Worth ): Now that the first wave of bloggers and blog-readers have read the initial results both in the form of serious utterances, straw polls and comic reformulations (thanks, Tony for that refreshing exercise), whither go we? It's actually gone way beyond my expectations.
