However, there are authoring tool vendors, who still think PowerPoint can be an authoring solution. And the list goes on.

From a vendor perspective there was a huge impact, but what was odd, is that some vendors still are living in the past, as though, this is a minor blip, and in 2021, everything will go back as it was – corporate wise that is. Sorry to disappoint – but it won’t. . that needed a system. I know it seems odd.

Not by their choice mind you, rather by the total amount of confusion among potential buyers, prospects, businesses, etc. For example, GO1 has provided five courses/content in the past for free for some vendors. Today, it is the format most vendors follow, including LXPs.

I’ve heard it from vendors. Many consumers, I surmise are doing it already without even realizing it, and even some vendors are too. Preferably on/off synch, but as I mentioned in my LinkedIn mini-post, most learning system vendors still are not on/off synch with said mobile app. An app is often listed as a mobile app.

Latest LMS Trends – The Truth is No Longer a Stranger

In my latest directory, 393 LMS vendors – global, of which 34 or so are open source systems. In a market this size, and with so many vendors overly focused on the U.S. and not necessarily worldwide (which should be the case), there is bound to be those vendors who are seeking new opportunities. It was a myth.
