This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

What I said, was some LMS vendors are like mice on a wheel going round and round, stuck in a rut. My reference was in regards to social learning and not innovating – they follow the same ol same – Facebook like page, micro-blog, maybe a blog, wiki, rss feed, maybe YouTube links, chat room, discussion board, etc.

One vendor focuses only on Blackberry (not just Playbook but their smartphone like product). When the market data is validating that people are not using BBs even in the business world, why would you believe otherwise? It has real potential, regardless if you offer a standalone RCAT or have a CAT built into your learning platform.
