I think my dinosaur status as an instructional designer stems from the fact that Ive always worked for e-Learning vendors where the programming, graphics, and ID are distinct, separate job roles. Christy uses HTML, Dreamweaver, and sess Flash in her future. I have no formal IT training but have learned alot by doing.

Studio has always been known for the PowerPoint to Flash approach, but it also includes audio narration, TOC (yeah!) Well besides my rankings of course, think about this: 1st vendor to offer collaboration and peer review. 1st vendor to have online/offline mobile synch. 1st vendor IMO to truly have HTML5 output.

Giving out books to attendees after they listened to the the vendors’ sales pitch. The problem with that angle – no mention of the vendor, thus its poor marketing. I got a book and can’t recall the vendor who gave it to me. Great idea, major backfire. Many vendors stated as such to me. Its all in Flash.

Have no idea on the number of systems in the market (I estimate there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-510 systems – many who do not promote themselves in any shape or form). Q: We are using Windows XP, IE 7 and Flash 6 at our company. A: Depends on the vendor. Market themselves effectively. High brand recognition.
