Strong ILT functions (for those who offer instructor led training). It is truly amazing on how vendors seem to think lots of stuff on the page, is the way to go and navigation is just a requirement. The hype on the product was huge, after all, the company’s revenue has increased significantly over the past two years. Search Connect – their search capability within the product. Selecting a system takes a lot of time, a lot of commitment on your part (and group, if applicable) and yes, even cost – the amount of time x productivity x your salary wage/time spent to find a system. The minus: vendors come out of the woodwork to tell you their system meets those needs. There is no one size fits all vendor.

This was my third TK in a row to attend, and as usual it contained some WOW on the part of some products, some “huh” on others and even a few “boos” Overall Expo Analysis. Nice selection of vendors – in general. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall.

A LMS that came with a e-commerce, a chat room, discussion boards, front end look that did not appear to a be a LMS, library, bookstore (capability), art gallery (I used it for sponsorship purposes). The product continues to add new features that overall are surprisingly solid. However, they continue to incorporate some instructor led training components, which is a disservice to an otherwise nice product. E-mail specific slides to subject matter experts for review. Some tools offer more advanced capabilities and features for folks who have a strong ID (instructional design) or e-learning developer skill sets.
