Copyleft and Creative Commons are just two of the initiatives that have emerged in recent years. Example: sending students out with cameras and sharing geotagged images, mashup images with Google Maps. A few applications emerging: TripIt lets you forward a confirmation email for travel and gives you a plain language itinerary with maps, tickets, local weather, etc. HazMat suits that report the conditions experienced.

She sees the future of technologies supporting learning as a mash-up of social co-operation and collaboration tools aligned with the emerging social workplace. Another is to set up feeds that are triggered by particular topics of interest. One is to look for trends that emerge from the individual resources, changes in focus as things develop. He also touts mashups , where two things are juxtaposed creating new meanings. I reckon this is a subset of "organizing," and you might find other organizing schemes such as value, or scope, or use, or… The task is to find meaning that emerges across these elements.
