Vendors were saying, lets “wait on those&# or “our customers are not requesting them, so we are holding off&#. Emerging Technology? Apparently, the potential customers and even clients are speaking and those vendors are listening. Not just a few vendors, the industry as a whole. Social learning?

I was planning on writing about emerging technology and virtual worlds. What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. Regardless, you need to have your product out and showing.

Virtual classrooms and smart-boards are used in a more student-centered way (not putting all the attention to one person up-front=bad). open up exciting opportunities for people to access relevant information where and when they require it. Mobile learning sub-disciplines will begin to emerge. Learning apps. Video galore.

Emerging Technology (Innovative) – Systems that incorporates innovative features or components ahead of the curve; and it works – clearly the key here. Vendors who are my clients are aware, prior for me working with them, that there is no quid pro quo, nor any special treatment given to them on my blog.

Sure, other vendors will say you can do that too, but you have to open each object file to get it. Scate Technologies: Scate Ignite 4 Professional Edition. Clever and logical features, especially when it comes to emerging technology with e-learning. Mashups, Google charts. Who has time? Market Trends Update 2010.

Is it me or does it seem that most vendors in the LMS/LCMS market still believe that with some smoke and mirrors, you won’t realize that social media actually must be integrated into social learning for it to exist? expo clearly shows and some argue that social media some grew up within the web 2.0 It’s all about Hype.

Just some thoughts that puzzle me on why some LMS/LCMS vendors (okay over 98% of them) are still in some time warp from the Eighties when it comes time to enhance their services and technological solutions. So why do vendors refuse to do this? No follow-up, zip. I know its a novel idea. I love their arguments.
