It wouldn’t surprise me if the majority of vendors who go with Gen-AI (and eventually, they all must, or they will be too far behind), use GPT (by OpenAI). I’m already seeing the sidestep I wrote about just a week ago, in order for vendors to reduce cost (those tokens). Maybe today it is ChatGPT (cheaper token-wise).

If they were a vendor who played in EdTech (K-12, HE) but also played into corporate and did so, not just by having clients find them, but actively through marketing, they were considered too. Strictly If the vendor was a custom shop building a system, off say Moodle or whatever code they are using that is open source? Strictly EdTech?

Overall though when tied into the other capabilities, and responses to my inquiries – covering a variety of questions and understanding the vendor’s response or lack thereof, will identify where they slide. I can not stress this enough, if you are basing your decision on the vendor’s client list, you are going to be unhappy.

LXP – The Answers you seek

The way a 3rd party content provider works with an LXP (or any learning system that offers a marketplace) is that they have a partnership agreement – allowing the vendor to have them in their marketplace. For example, GO1 has provided five courses/content in the past for free for some vendors. The first vendor to do this?

Top 10 LXPs for 2020

Content marketplace is quite extensive, they even offer a search for Instructor option, although I found it to be heavily ILT. . Metrics on Spark will be fine for most, although personally I wish they were a tad more robust, for any size of customer. Metrics is a bit of a mix. Mobile mimics as well, a big thank you on that.
