My initial inclination was to build something in PowerPoint or Google slides, but I switched to Rise 360 and haven’t looked back. I find that even though Rise 360 is designed to be more of a traditional e-learning course , it really does lend itself as a great presentation tool. Free E-Learning Resources.

Again, a lot of the simple stuff can be created in the authoring tool, but you may want access to someone who can create custom media. From my experience, most of the e-learning problems happen right before implementation. I’d seek them out for brand consideration, messaging, and media collateral like images and videos.

Same advice as above, create a media heavy test course and test it on multiple devices and in different environments. If things in the course bog down, you may want to loosen the load: get rid of some media and make smaller, more digestible courses. There’s obviously a lot that goes into building a great learning experience.

I was attempting to zip up a PowerPoint 2007 file and accidentally unzipped it to reveal a media folder that held all of the images I was using in my course. Now, keep in mind that this only works for PowerPoint 2007, but it’s still a cool trick, nonetheless. Extract the PowerPoint 2007 File. Locate the Media Folder.
