It used to be that every WC vendor went the seats route. Typically with licenses - a lot of vendors do not enable you to have the multiple rooms at the same time – i.e. the multiple seminars going on at the same time offer. How many instructor web cam/video visual windows does your vendor allow on the screen at the same time?

Other questions to ask your Vendor: Can your recording work if the trainer is talking on the telephone and not using VOIP ? Is this on? Is this mic on?

There’s no vendor who creates Moodle per say. Because (1) LMSs in corporations are primarily used to track stuff (IMHO) so until open source is truly able to slice and dice data (often custom reports) for executives they won't replace commercial LMSs. (2) Cammy, I think you're on the right track. Sure they can.

LMSs are amazing, because they offer a lot of tracking data, and they can help you recommend courses to people and know what people have taken. So from there, we either go the route of putting it on my project calendar, so I’m going to build it for them, or we look at an outside vendor to hire them to build it.
