The authoring tool in an LCMS can be used to create content and courses, but has limited functionality compared to a multimedia content authoring tool. and the AICC standard is ARG 010.

Other fun tidbits AICC was the leader here, then came SCORM. There were LMS vendors certified by AICC, but the majority were not, and yes, some said they were, then you go to the AICC web site and see that they are not. The LCMS Learning Content Management System. It was truly the wild west back then. The answer is yes.
