Easy to use interface and supports SCORM and AICC. #18 A few vendors say “social learning” but it is often far from it. AICC, SCORM and PENS support. I’m always amazed at some of the names vendors come up with for authoring tools. Supports AICC and SCORM. 1st vendor IMO to truly have HTML5 output.

Output was AICC (boo) and SCORM. Things called Layers existed – a common term used in Adobe Photoshop, but for WBT? The first half of the decade, saw a drop in the number of vendors offering a built-in authoring, but by the end of the decade, the numbers were starting up again. It was designed to be simple. Not so much.

Vendors can move up, down or out of the rankings – after all it is on-going. I’m not a lead gen for the vendors listed – rather the goal is to provide you with vendors that meet numerous criteria including UI, features, support/service, mobile, feedback from current and past clients and future game plans.

There are more vendors who do not offer the ability to post – i.e. add audio afterwards it is quite amazing. Again, simple and yet again arguably with many vendors difficult to do. Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? And therein lies one of the issues, that is showing up with many, many vendors.
