Tools like Articulate Presenter are great for creating elearning courses. Scale object: If you want to resize the image or object (and not mess up the aspect ratio), then press SHIFT and drag from the corners. You’ll see that the shape resizes, but the aspect ratio stays the same. Fill shapes with pictures.

If you do have to explain something, create an image you can jump to with some text on it. I’d also make your desktop image a solid color rather than a distracting background image. Select the right aspect ratio. For example, 720×540 is the aspect ratio for a PowerPoint slide. Control your mouse movement.
