PowerPoint – The King of eLearning Tools?

Most of the new authoring tools either use PPT as their backbone or offer the ability to import slides. Interface creation, navigation buttons, LMS tracking, and testing abilities are then typically added to the PPT functionality. Using these new tools meant that I had to start using PPT. Everyone has PPT.

Microsoft has some really nice starter templates to help you organize your learning project. Click here to access Microsoft training templates. Compared to building courses in Flash or Authorware, the rapid elearning tools are easy to use. I wasn’t aware of the Microsoft training templates, thanks for sharing that Tom.

Product Review – Articulate Storyline 2

Transitions, Animations, Views – I am fine using it once, but again, new product-new version, so why I am still seeing PowerPoint within this product to such a point, that TAV are exactly the same as in PPT? View – I’m getting a headache – did you have to Microsoft to include all this stuff? Repeat PowerPoint.

Microsoft Word converted to Flash? Macromedia Authorware and similar products. While some could argue that Authorware was a RCAT, I disagree. PPT or Word to Flash and the end user can add a TOC, some assessments, audio, video, even additional flash learning objects and attachments. Is it PowerPoint converted to Flash?
