Graphic design is also about directing the flow of information and how the eye scans the screen. Here’s a list of upcoming conferences and presentations: August 16 : Atlanta, GA—ASTD: I’ll be doing two sessions, a pre-conference workshop on elearning (3 hours) and the other on elearning graphics. But it’s a start.

that I got from running through the chat log: How was this conference marketed? Of course, having the conference free makes it a bit easier to attract attendees. presentation were much more sophisticated that audiences at ASTD, ISPI and even the eLearningGuild. So here are my random thoughts, comments, links, ideas, quotes, etc.

Brain scans of candidates before, during and after their course of study reveal physical changes in the brain ; their hippocampus become larger, growing more brain cells to accommodate the extra spatial memory required. I’ve learned a few strategies that may help you attend the conferences and training events you need to stimulate your brain.

Some are really fast and will quickly scan the screen looking for visual cues. We’re doing a pre-conference workshop and presentation at the conference. November 12: Los Angeles, CA (ISPI)—Articulate Workshop. So you’ll want to do something to jar them awake. Give the Learner Control. Others are more deliberate.
