Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. There is no doubt that they are popular platforms – but as noted above – popularity doesn’t mean best. So, back for another installment.

This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

In some cases it will be noted if it is based on a higher set of users, since there are platforms that prefer a minimum or focus on larger size businesses including associations, etc. E xpertus One ($$$-$$$$)- Still the best multi-tenant platform in the market. Each update takes the platform up on notch on its competitors.

I’m not a lead gen for the vendors listed – rather the goal is to provide you with vendors that meet numerous criteria including UI, features, support/service, mobile, feedback from current and past clients and future game plans. Support of the iPad, thus mobile learning. 7 eLogic Learning. Social learning.

Extensive APIs support. Support is fantastic and what I have found is they really care about their customers, a rarity in today’s space. TinCan support with mobile learning, however no on/off synch. Mobile learning support, but no TinCan nor on/off synch. Pay for only active users. Easy to use. #8

Without further adieu, Talent Management/Performance Management (TM/PM). Three months ago, only a few systems had either integrated for no additional charge or for additional fees, a talent management/performance management feature set. What is nice is there are still a significant number of vendors who have not added it.

Virtual classrooms, which is the same as virtual meetings or webinars – often seen with an integrated platform such as WebEx, GoTo Meeting or their own proprietary one. Q: Saba, SumTotal, Cornerstone, Taleo, SuccessFactors must be the best because a lot of people buy these systems. Talent and Performance Mgt. Bottom Line.
