While I was ‘definitely’ focused on our discussion, I noticed that there was a new starter training session going on. We were sitting very close so I could see everything, and I was amazed to see how poor the delivery of training was. There were little or no benefits for the new starter in this training session.

It is good to see that after the economic devastation we have recently felt, the elearning industry is now growing again, I know that this is probably at the expense of the ‘face2face’ training industry, but this was inevitable as year on year technology advances are changing the way we function.

One statement made was – ‘but I have never managed before and I had no training or resource for help me’. Due to the accountability pressure both internally and externally, and the complete lack of support this person resigned from the organisation and was left demoralised and devastated.
