I suspected that the expo would feature a large quantity of rapid content authoring tools. Not so much, from what I saw – some of the tools were underwhelming (granted some were quite impressive), but rather how the vendors themselves perceived where the market is going and what customers want in their authoring tools.

Best Learning Systems for 500 or less learners

It’s not about being famous either, I rejected some NY Times Best Selling Authors, because I wasn’t airing an episode of insomnia cures. I like the inclusion of a built-in authoring tool here, and while quick turnkey (aka as self-service) may skimp on some capabilities, they do meet other criteria. Mobile too.

In 2012 it has been all about collaborative/peer review with authoring products, and it still will be in 2013, but the avatars/actors with/without backgrounds are going to be in “fuego” Where can it go? In 2012, I’ve seen a slow uptake with tools that can output to HTML5. Wait and See.
