What is ADDIE? ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. While some instructional designers might dismiss ADDIE as a throwback approach that limits creativity, there’s something to be said for doing everything you can to get it right the first time. Many frameworks exists for instructional design, including Merrill’s Principles of Instruction, Gagne’s Nine Events of Instructions and Bloom’s Taxonomy, but the most popular ID model is ADDIE. ADDIE stands for analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, which is the suggested process for this model.

Surprisingly, there are many instructional designers who do not put enough effort to an effective storyboard.
