Audacity is free, open source, and does everything I need for quick audio revisions. When I read something interesting, I bookmark it so it’s easy to find and refer to later when I need it. While I nearly always pay professional voice over artists rather than record narration myself, I often end up doing minor audio edits.

I jumped straight into it without referring to the instructions, and while I’m familiar with authorware, I expect it’s intuitive enough for Average Joe to work it out too. I thoroughly enjoyed using Udemy. I found it to be a simple yet powerful tool.
