I have come back to blogging after a hiatus of almost 5 months. While I have always been an advocate of informal learning (immensely grateful to Jane Hart, Harold Jarche, Jay Cross and the ITA for showing the way) and communities of practice, I am now becoming an evangelist of both. Using SharePoint for Work Team or Communities of Practice (CoP) Collaboration Outside of any particular formal learning, many training organizations are using SharePoint to support work teams. They had profiles, directories, blogs to help foster sharing between spread out teams. Some used it to track bugs.

The book is a synthesis of years of collective experience, know-how, knowledge and deep passion for improving and enabling human performance. Learning will be re-defined as problem solving, achieving fit witn one's environment and having the connections to deal with novel situations. ~

In terms of finding people with experience on this, my first suggestion was using LinkedIn and particularly looking through LinkedIn Guide for Knowledge Workers , LinkedIn for Finding Expertise , and Searching for Expertise - LinkedIn Answers. Of course, there’s no easy answers here, but lots we can discuss and learn around this.
