Review other elearning courses or multimedia. Then try to implement some ideas in little practice modules. You don’t need to build big courses, just mini modules. Instead of a big course delivered months in advance it would have been easier to build lighter modules (similar to the cheat sheets) that delivered the necessary content at the point of need.
