You buzz the assigned project manager or tech support person and listen to the whole “we hear you” and get back to you verbiage. I see two factors: Person really doesn’t know the product inside and out and so they tell you want you want to hear. Person is all about sales and not about you.

I saw a lot more folks than in previous shows and more e-learning vendors too. Equally there were several ILT vendors who had some type of online learning thing going on. I am not the only person at the show who is lactose intolerance. One person was literally eating while I was asking about a product.

Anyway, not sure how that played out when they had some clients who moved from Absorb to SmartLab and then ended up going back to Absorb – not an ideal customer service move IMO. Personalization capability for each end user – including selecting their own language, which may be different from another end user in the same system.
